Anna Silk

Anna Silk, born January 31st, 1974 in Fredericton, New Brunswick Canada, is an actor best known for playing Bo on The Showcase series Lost Girl. Silk is born in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay who is director of drama and producer at St. Thomas University, is Silk's mom. Her father, Peter, was an academic. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna remembers her very first memory of playing rehearsals with her mother. Silk produced a number of commercials when she was still a kid. She was a graduate of St. Thomas University with an Associate of Arts degree in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas staged at least two early plays: Seven Menus & The Kitchen. Silk moved to Toronto to further her acting career in the month of November 1999. Later, she spent the decade that followed, she relocated into Los Angeles California. Seth Cooperman became her husband in 2007 when they met during an Actors' Workshop in Los Angeles. Following their engagement in 2008, they got married in 2009. They renewed their vows on the 10th of April in Fredericton at an Jewish wedding ceremony following Silk's changed her religion to Judaism. Silk gave birth to the son Samuel Jerome Cooperman in May 2013. Levi Aaron is her second child, and was born on 13th May, 2016. Silk's work on television has included her part in Being Erica as Cassidy Holland for which she won the Gemini Awards nod in 2009. In 2009, she got the main character role of Bo Dennis a succubus in the Canadian television show Lost Girl. Silk told fans of the show the joyous information that she was pregnant during the filming of season 3. The show was a pre-show exclusive to promote Season Three. This was broadcasted by Showcase during an exclusive Season Three show held January 6th, 2013 prior to the series' premiere. Silk posted on Twitter on June 20th that she was ready to return to work. On June 4, 2013, Showcase and Prodigy Pictures officially revealed the launch of production for the fourth season. Silk's portrayal of Bo together with Lauren (Zoie Palmer) as lovers who are identical in the show Lost Girl was named one of its all-time Favorite TV Couples in the year 2013 by CNN (Cable News Network) and named the Top TV Couple in 2013. The same was done by E! Entertainment Television. Silk's popularity has resulted in an enormous online following using social media.
